‘Steps being taken to fill vacancies at all levels in the State’
Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinarajappa on Wednesday sought the police personnel to adopt people-friendly policing and bring justice to the poor.

Addressing the department personnel at the stipendiary trainee Sub-Inspector cadets’ passing out parade at the district Police Training College at Anantapur, Mr. Chinarajappa, who is also Home Minister, observed that people were looking forward to the best law and order administration in the State and to stand up to their expectations, the government had been according a top priority to filling up the vacancies at all levels in the Police Department.
“As many as 5,806 constables and 652 SIs have been recruited in the State after bifurcation.In the first phase, Rs. 42 crore have been spent to give a fillip to 19 police training centres in the State,” the Minister said.
